Two million (2,000,000) young people in the U.K. (United Kingdom) still live with their parents (mother and father). They have no money to rent or buy a home. House prices (costs) are high in the U.K. Young people cannot afford (have enough money) to buy a house. People live with their parents because of housing costs (house prices). They cannot move away (go and live in a different place) from their parents because of high house prices.
A woman has saved money (to keep money in the bank) for ten years. She still can’t buy an apartment, because house prices keep going up (increase all the time). Rents are expensive. She is worried about the future. She is sad. She doesn’t want to live with her parents like a teenager (someone who is between 13 and 19 years old) when she is 40. A charity company (an organization that gives money or food to poor people) said Britain must build more homes for young people. The homes must be cheap.
