On Monday, a Canadian man walked into the fast food restaurant in his area (Tim Horton’s in Edmonton, Toronto), got himself a Boston cream doughnut and a double-double (the way Canadian order coffee, meaning double cream and double sugar), and then paid for 500 more large coffees for people in his neighborhood.
The bill came to nearly $900, and the man refused to leave his name. It took the shop until 8:30 the following (next) morning to get through (finish) all the free coffees, and the mysterious man made hundreds of people’s days (to make someone’s day means to make them happy).
