Most schools allow students to have cellphones for safety. But many schools don’t allow students to use cellphones during class time. However, when the teacher is busy helping out another student or writing on the board, students take out their cellphones to send messages to friends, listen to music, or watch videos on the Internet.
Some people think cell phones SHOULD be allowed in public (not private; for anyone) schools for many reasons.
Cellphones are good for education because you can use them to do research. It can also be expensive to provide a computer to each student at school, so a good option is to use cell phones for research instead (in place of it). Some cell phones have many educational apps as well (also). Playing an educational app is much more fun than reading a difficult book.
Believe it or not (Whether you think it is true or not), a cell phone could save your life. Here is an example: On April 20, 1999, two teenagers walked into Columbine High school with guns and bombs. They wanted to damage the school and students. One student had a cellphone. He called the police. The police came and arrested (took to the police office) the teenagers. If it weren’t for him and his cellphone, many students would have died.
What do you think?
Does your school allow cellphones in classroom?
