The cat ran away
On Friday morning Janie called the police. She told the police that Harry had stolen a painting from art gallery.
Two policemen arrived quickly at Mr. Allen’s rooming house. They took Harry away.
“What’s wrong”, Harry asked.
But the policemen did not listen.
There was a big reward for Janie. The police gave her $200.
At first, Janie wanted to buy a painting with the money. But, then, she decided to buy a cat. Her cat’s name is kitty. She loved her cat. Kitty is a large black cat. Her cat smelled like shampoo. She (The cat) had been washed that morning. Cats do not like water. Kitty, on the other hand, liked water. Kitty was a friendly cat.
Janie was on her bed. Janie ran her finger down kitty’s back. Kitty fell asleep. Janie was thirsty. She picked up her cellphone. She called her little brother, Jim. She whispered (spook quietly) into the phone and said, “Get me a glass of water, please. “ Her brother said “okay.”
He was downstairs watching television. He went to the kitchen. He got a glass of water. He took it upstairs to his sister’s room. He did not know kitty was asleep. He slammed the door open (opened the door with a loud noise) .
Kitty woke up and ran away.0 This entry was posted in Reading Intro (J. H. School) by Parviz with no comments yet
