A man started swimming to work afetr he got fed up with (was tired of) commuting and being stuck in traffic. Benjamin David beats (goes faster than) the traffic by swimming 2km down a river in Germany. He pulls his laptop, phone and his suit in a waterproof bag behind him.
David realized (suddenly understood) that the river went past (runs next to) his office. He decided to swim to work and get some exercise. This was better than using buses or breathing pollution while cycling.
David's river commute has made him fitter and less stressed. He said: "When I was on my bike, I would yell at cars. When I was on foot, I would yell (shout) at cyclists." He also said: " the river is just a few meters to the side of road, and if you just swim down that, it's completely relaxing."
But river swimming can be dangerous because in some cities you cannot swim in rivers. David always checks (gets information about) the water temperature before he swims.0 This entry was posted in Reading Intro (S. H. School) by Parviz with no comments yet
